Software Developer - J M Smucker Company
June 2023 - present

I am currently working as a software developer at the J. M. Smucker Co., fully remote. In this role, I support Planning and Procurement Supply Chain operations.

  • Architected and implemented an AWS cloud stack that manipulates XML data from vendors that eventually creates a Purchase Order, under a tight one month deadline.
  • Enhanced an AWS Lambda based solution that manipulates data between on-premises Oracle databases and a cloud vendor.
  • Developed PL/SQL packages to support Demand and Supply Planning operations within the company.
  • Presented Playwright tests and API testing concepts during a large internal developers forum to over 100 attendees.
Cloud Engineer Intern - J M Smucker Company
May 2022 - Aug 2022
  • Developed an AWS Serverless Application using SAM CLI to manipulate JIF peanut butter recall data.
  • Implemented Lambda, Lambda Layers, and other AWS technologies.
  • Researched and implemented Bref, which allows PHP applications to run on AWS Lambda.
  • Developed proof-of-concepts and implemented a variety of AWS technologies: An AWS POC that I developed dealing with Docker containers, Lambda, and Aurora was considered as a replacement for an existing asset management system.

  • Responded to tickets and walk-ins regarding a variety of campus and device issues from students, faculty, and staff.
  • Imaged and deployed over 150 laptops and desktops campus wide.
  • Installed and deployed a new campus event display system.
  • Deployed Cisco VoIP phones campus-wide, replacing a traditional analog phone system.
  • Became an expert in repairing Apple products, including laptop batteries, iMac screens, and other difficult repairs.

  • Streamlined and created dashboards using SquaredUp for SCOM, to facilitate a single pane of glass look at the environment.
  • Built Power Automate scripts to help with maintenance day planning and server maintenance.

  • Documented an Azure failover test for Disaster Recovery, replicating servers in Azure and testing the functionality of the DR plan.
